Number portability – Electronic and Postal Communications Authority, Albania

After the successful implementation of the number portability solution in Romania, UTI has implemented a similar project in Albania.

The main objective of the system is to allow customers to port their telephone numbers when switching between mobile carriers in Albania.

The solution is built as a centralized system, handling all telephone number porting processes accurately and securely. Sensitive information is protected and can be used by telecom operators as reference information in completing calls as well as other services. The system is  very reliable and robust and adheres to number portability laws by enforcing preconditions, rules, and checks. In addition, this solution provides necessary support to handle disaster recovery in extreme situations.
