UTI developed a stable and mature Number Portability solution that enables mobile telephone users to retain their mobile telephone numbers when changing from one mobile network operator to another.The implementation of number portability is of paramount importance as it promotes competition and efficiency in the telecommunications sector and naturally facilitates the easy movement of subscribers from one operator to another.

The centralized system uses a unique database and will make available a single contact for all mobile and landline operators.

The consumers access a web page that provides information regarding the routed numbers.
