Extensive fire protection solutions for ArcelorMittal Galati steel plant

The UTI Commercial and Industrial Security and Fire Protection Business Line, in partnership with Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions Austria, signed on September 2010 an additional deed to the contract concerning the implementation of a complex fire protection system with the ArcelorMittal Galati steel plant.

The technical solution for the steel plant was developed by our specialists according to the National Fire Protection Association and it was highly appreciated by the risk consultants of the MATRIX Risk Consultants Inc.

The fire protection system provided by UTI for ArcelorMittal Galati is unique in Romania and consists of fire detection and sprinklers extinguishing installations for three high-importance areas within the plant: Furnace no 3, Coal Mill and Raw Materials Area.

On its 33rd anniversary of continuous activity, UTI changes its name and becomes TIU Group of companies.

On October 5, 2023, the TIU Group celebrates 33 years of continuous activity in the Romanian and South-Eastern European markets, estimating a record consolidated turnover.
