National Arena will have a new turf

Since the beginning of October, the National Arena has a new turf as the UTI team responsible with the maintenance of the National Arena has replaced it with a new one in compliance with the contractual provision established by the administrator of the arena, the Municipality of Bucharest.

The works were continuous for almost two weeks and consisted in carving out the previous turf, cleaning and preparation of the grass bed, mounting and adjustment of the grass rolls and the turf stabilization.

Since October 2014, when the turf was changed, the National Arena has hosted 51 matches and 19 official training sessions, amounting to 155 hours of use.

The first football match occurred two days after the turf replacement had been finalized, without any inconvenience.

At least 9 games and 3 official training sessions are scheduled on the National Arena by the end of the year.
