UTI Grup has become partner of Smiths Detection for Romania

UTI Grup has resumed the partnership with Smiths Detection, a threat detection technology leader, signing an agreement to market, sell, set up and maintain their products and solutions. UTI Grup has thus become partner of Smiths Detection for Romania, a status granted to the company after a thorough assessment of the company’s technical capabilities, specialized human resources, as well as of its integrity and compliance policies and guidelines.

The partnership covers the entire range of products and solutions for detecting and identifying chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive threats and is in line with UTI Grup’s strategy to focus on providing complex solutions for high risk sites (critical infrastructures, penitentiaries, customs, embassies, sports and entertainment arenas, tourist sites etc).

„We are honored to have reached this partnership agreement that confirms the company’s technical capabilities to design, install and integrate Smiths Detection complex products into large-scale projects in various fields where the security requirements are extremely high.”, states Cristian Costea, Vice-President of UTI Grup.

UTI will also integrate Smiths Detection equipment within the airport projects the company is currently implementing.

„As the threats for both people and critical infrastructure are constantly evolving and becoming more sophisticated, a comprehensive approach to preventing criminal and terrorist acts in airports must include advanced threat detection technology solutions.
Through our partnership with Smiths Detection, we will provide X-ray detection equipment that will ensure a high security level, but also the compliance with the European and international airport security requirements.”, continues Cristian Costea.
