Point of view regarding UTI’s involvement in the rehabilitation works of Drumul Taberei Park

Regarding the comments on UTI and Mr. Tiberiu Urdăreanu in the feature entitled “Familia Borcea spune că nu are nicio legătură cu distrugerea parcului Moghioroş” (Borcea family says they have nothing to do with the destruction of the Moghioroş park), broadcast by Antena 3 TV station, we would like to make the following statements:

• UTI’s responsibility in the Drumul Taberei park rehabilitation project was the delivery and installation of the video monitoring system. The implementation was completed in 2014.
• UTI’s involvement was as part of a consortium in which the following companies are also included: SC Pergola Gradini Decorative, SC Proms Concept Group, SC Hidrocanal, SC E-Factor Solutions, SC Metabet C.F. , and which was declared winner of the tender organized by the Municipality of Sector 6, Bucharest in 2011. The value of the works carried out by UTI is 1.3% of the total contract value.

Also, we would like to state that UTI Grup has not developed and grown because of political support, as you tendentiously suggest at the end of the material. The businesses of UTI member companies have always been and continue to be transparent and legal.

Therefore, we believe you have misinformed the public and made tendentious statements that could bring injury to the reputation of the company.

For these reasons, we hereby require you to return to the above-mentioned material and clarify the aspects we have mentioned above.

For purposes of correctly informing the public, we are open to respond to any media questions regarding UTI businesses – of course, if what we say is featured in your materials.
