Bucharest National Arena is the biggest sports venue in Romania and one of the most modern in Europe. Open for public in 2011, the facility has a surface of 108,000 square meters and a capacity of 55,600 spectator seats. The facility is meant to host national and international sports and cultural events and includes conference rooms, cafeterias, VIP lounges, underground parking, and medical points.
The stadium was built during 2007-2011 by the Astaldi-Max Bögl consortium. UTI was the main technical installation subcontractor and realized the technical infrastructure of the stadium consisting of:
All the technical installations are integrated within a monitoring and control dispatch center that allows an efficient operation and quick intervention in case of equipment failure.
UTI team also ensures the preventive and corrective facility management services and technical support during the events.
