WATMAN – Water Management Integrated System
The system developed by UTI for the Romanian Waters National Administration is designed to prevent and reduce the destructive consequences of flooding. The project consists of installing monitoring equipment for the water management infrastructure, implementing an alarm system in floodplains, creating a rapid intervention system, modernizing the communications systems and integrating the meteorological system with the hydrological and water management systems in 11 water basins – Somes-Tisa, Cris Rivers, Mures, Banat, Jiu, Olt, Arges-Vedea, Buzau-Ialomita, Siret, Prut-Barlad and Dobrogea-Seaside.
