UTI builds a new parking access system for the Avram Iancu International Airport, Cluj-Napoca
UTI Grup finalizes the works to the new access system to the “Avram Iancu” International Airport in Cluj-Napoca, consisting in the construction of a roundabout and the installation of a new, better parking management system.
The works took six months and the total cost of the investment was Eur 450,000.
The construction of a roundabout required the performance of infrastructure works and the modification of the existing electricity, thermal energy and telecommunication distribution routes as well as of the public transport lines, at the same time not disturbing the activity of the airport and not affecting the comfort of the parking users.
The former access system was replaced with a new state of the art parking management solution, significantly contributing to the improvement of the services and to users’ satisfaction by means of the wide range of applications it supports:
- diversifying the means of payment by introducing the possibility to pay by card at the cash register and, soon, by using the newly installed ticket machines (one at each of the two airport terminals)
- streamlining services and permanent control of operation parameters by implementing a statistic module that feeds real time data regarding system operation, parking occupation and other traffic data
- personalizing fees in accordance to location and client category: subscribers, long-term clients etc.
The new system implemented by UTI contributes significantly to the streamlining of traffic in the airport area and to a better safety and comfort of the drivers who use the car park.
