UTI develops solutions to optimize the emergency services’ activity

Between May the 12th and May the 13th, Kuopio, Finland, hosted the first demonstration of a device entirely developed by UTI within the COPE – Common Operational Picture Exploitation research project. The technology was successfully tested in a simulation of a major traffic accident with many victims and toxic substances leakages.

The COPE research project is elaborated by a consortium made up of UTI Systems and IGSU Romania, VTT Technical Research Centre (Finland), BAE Systems (Operations) Limited (UK), BAE Systems Bofors AB (Sueden), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), Skysoft S.A. (Portugal), Center for European Security Strategies (Germany) and Emergency Services College (Finland).

On its 33rd anniversary of continuous activity, UTI changes its name and becomes TIU Group of companies.
