The two stations are part of the 4th line of the Bucharest underground network. The works have been provided by UTI, as part of the association ASTALDI S.p.A., S.C. SOMET S.A. and S.C. TIAB S.A.
The works, started at the end of 2012, resulted in the creation of two new stations. The total length of the connection tunnels and of the pertaining installations reached 7.8 km. A future stage is planned, consisting of the construction of the intermodal terminal (that includes a bus station, a 3-storey park and ride terminal and the subway access infrastructure).
Within the project, UTI Grup has performed the relocation and reconstruction of the utilities networks (water, power, telecommunications, etc) and low currents installations within the stations (fire detection, access control, dynamic information and CCTV).
The project is very important for the community as it improves the urban traffic flow and the public transportation conditions in Bucharest.
The park-and-ride terminal, the first of this kind in Romania, will have a significant contribution to improving the mobility and the quality of life of the Bucharest inhabitants.
