UTI Grup takes part in the building of a new runway with Iasi International Airport

UTI Grup and the associated companies, Max Bögl and Vega 93 signed a contract for the design and execution of a new 2400 meter-long runway with Iasi International Airport. The bidding process started in the autumn of 2012. The winner was announced in May 2013. The total value of the project is 31 million euro and the project will be completed in 25 months.

The UTI team is responsible with the implementation of the electrical works and airport lighting system.

UTI Grup, through its Construction and Facility Management business line, has accomplished similar projects with the International Airport Aurel Vlaicu (Baneasa) in Bucharest, Sibiu International Airport and Varna International Airport in Bulgaria.

On its 33rd anniversary of continuous activity, UTI changes its name and becomes TIU Group of companies.
