The COVID-19 pandemic brought about individual and organizational challenges that we have never encountered before. In order to protect their employees, to continue their operations and to meet the clients’ needs in this special context, the member companies of UTI Grup have implemented an array of measures, observing the authorities’ recommendations to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19).
Consequently, we have turned on the activity continuity plan in order to assure the services provided to the clients and the essential operations. The designated management team daily monitors the activities and proposes, depending on the evolution of the pandemics and on the authorities’ recommendations, the adjustment of the operations.
In order to protect our employees and clients, we have implemented a work from home system for the employees that can work remotely, as well as a flexible work schedule, using online applications for all critical activities and to keep the decision making process flowing.
All the recommended measures have been implemented for the teams that cannot work remotely, starting with strict hygiene and disinfection measures for both individuals and their work places, to daily protection instruction and checking of the minimal health parameters. Over the last 2 weeks, even before the first occurrences of the virus in Romania, we have informed out teams via constant internal newsletters meant to increase the responsibility and awareness of the prevention measures and we have equipped all offices and work places with disinfectants and protection equipment, so that our teams are protected and ready.
It is difficult to estimate the impact this crisis will have on our activities, but we are experienced in managing crises, proven by the manner in which we have surpassed the 2009 crisis. We are ready to respond promptly and firmly. Therefore, we will increase the efforts to optimize and adjust the solution and service portfolio, we will monitor and reduce costs and we will remain committed to the quality of the provided services.
