Cristal Tower, Bucharest

Cristal Tower is an A class office building, located in the center of Bucharest and one of the most modern business facilities in the capital city of Romania, awarded with a BREEAM certification. The 15-storey building of a total surface of 24,728 square meters hosts office spaces, conference rooms, a fitness floor, a rooftop restaurant and the only heliport in the city.

Solutions

UTI was contracted to design and build the electrical system, the security system, and the building’s management system.

For the execution of the electrical system, our team delivered the following components:

  • Complete earthing and lightning protection system
  • Complete emergency lighting system
  • Complete interior lighting system and related fixtures using led technology
  • The electrical installations powering the fire safety system, HVAC system, and BMS
  • Heliport lighting system using led technology
  • Backup power system

The security system was designed and installed by the UTI team and has the following components:

  • Fire alarm and detection
  • Gas leaks detection
  • Access control and intrusion detection
  • Parking access control
  • Video surveillance (CCTV)
  • Public sound and address
  • Advertising video display
  • Structured cabling and telecommunications
  • Integrated monitoring and control

UTI also designed and executed the integrated building management system that controls and monitors the building technical equipment and systems such as:

  • HVAC system
  • Elevators
  • Water supply system
  • Power and energy meters
  • Exterior automated shades

The BMS is designed to accomplish the following functions:

  • Energy consumption monitoring
  • Remote control of the integrated equipment and systems
  • Alarm generation and management
  • Data acquisition, analytics, and reporting
  • Data recording and archiving
