Cluj Arena is the second largest sports venue in Romania, ranked as an Elite UEFA stadium.
The stadium was completed between 2009-2011 and has a total capacity of 30,596 seats, 8 running tracks, over 300 underground parking spaces and a night light installation.
The stadium was open to the public in October 2011 and since then has hosted a number of sports and music events, contributing directly to the increase of Cluj-Napoca touristic attraction.
UTI was selected as the technical contractor by the construction consortium and provided turn-key technical solutions that ensure the arena operation:
The technical solutions provided transformed the stadium into a modern, state-of-the-art high performant multi-purpose arena that helped increase the city’s touristic attraction and the municipality’s budget.
On June 28, 2012, Cluj Arena was awarded the Quality Trophy in construction, by the Romanian Association of Construction Entrepreneurs (ARACO).
