R&D Community, “A New Beginning” for UTI

Friday, February 10, 2006, UTI Group organized at Romexpo, Brancusi Hall, the first plenary session of the Research and Development Community within UTI.

Eloquently entitled R&D Community Kick-Off Plenary Session, the event gathered together, for the first time since the establishment of this community, outstanding persons belonging to the UTI top management, the Research and Development guest, Dr. Stefan Cantaragiu, and last but not least, the members of the Research and Development Community, whose number amounts to 75 people, at present.

The presentations were given, in order, by Mr. Gerard De Beuckelaer, UTI Group Consultant, Mr. Tiberiu Urdareanu, UTI Group President, Mr. Mihai Gradinaru, R&D Community Executive Sponsor, Mr. Mihai Ianciu, R&D Community Executive Sponsor, Mr. Cristian Radu, R&D Community Speaker, Mr. Florin Marica, Business Development Community Speaker, and Dr. Stefan Cantaragiu, Guest Speaker.

The presentations outlined how the R&D Community would, from now on, promote and enforce the Participative Innovation concept within UTI, how it would contribute to forging A New Beginning for UTI Group. At the same time, the discussions were very prolific, leading to the pin-pointing of the next goals, on short and long term.

Seen as a whole, this event proved to be of great importance for UTI, as it gave the opportunity to the members belonging to the Research and Development Community within UTI, to know one another better, consequently, leading to the future optimization of the information and communication flow within the Community. Moreover, it gave the UTI top management the opportunity to address the participants a direct message, in which the former outlined the importance of research in the context of UTI’s development and restructuring.
