UTI implements a traffic management system in Craiova

In May 2013, the ITS&Ticketing business line of UTI was awarded, through a public bidding, a contract for the implementation of a complex traffic management project between the two main industrial areas of Craiova, whose purpose is to modernize the public transportation infrastructure and to ease the traffic.

Main benefits of the project

• Continuous surveillance of the main streets
• Increase of the safety level of the citizens
• Enabling the road traffic by adapting traffic to the incidents recorded by the traffic controllers
• Management of the traffic incidents
• Reduction of the travel times
• Reduction of the road accidents

This project will be added to the already existing portfolio of traffic management systems implemented by UTI in Bucharest, Brasov, Arad, Zalau, Kalisz and Szczecin (Poland).
