UTI installed security systems in 10 schools in Brașov county, with European funds

Since June this year, 10 schools in Codlea, Ghimbav, Predeal, Râşnov and Săcele have been benefiting from state of the art systems for increasing safety and preventing criminality in education institutions.  The project was awarded to UTI subsequent to a tender organized by the Metropolitan Agency for Sustainable Development in Brașov and was co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Regional Operational Programme 2007-2013. The value of the project was Eur 320,000.

The project started in August 2013, and UTI specialists have installed fire surveillance, detection, signaling and warning systems, access control systems, and break-in detection and warning systems.  All these were integrated in monitoring control rooms located in school units and in local police departments in the towns involved in the project.

The benefits of implementing these security systems in the ten schools in Brasov county are very important: preventing incidents that involve students and teachers, ensuring quality of life by installing state-of-the-art anti-fire systems, preventing crime by means of integrated intrusion detection systems, as well as cutting costs by minimizing the intervention of security firms.

The UTI team also carried out electric installation works for fueling parts, configuring equipment and software, as well as technological testing works and training system operators.
