On July 3 2013, UTI Grup launches SOP HRD project no. 165/6.2/S/141145 – Multi-Regional Trade Qualification Center for Vulnerable Groups.
The project aims to develop the capacities and abilities of youths and adults belonging to vulnerable groups in the Bucharest – Ilfov, West, Center, North-West region in order to increase their chances of integration on the labor market and is co-financed by the European Social Fund via the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development 2007 – 2013, Priority Axis 6, Major Intervention field 6.2 “Improvement of the access and participation of vulnerable groups on the labor market.”
The project’s goal is to eliminate discriminatory practices based on gender, ethnicity, disability and age and to contribute actively to the creation of optimal conditions for equal access of targeted people on the labor market. The target group covers four development regions and is comprised of 882 people, of which 744 will participate in classes, and 620 will receive the qualification certificate.
Vulnerable people in the target group are people with disabilities, Roma ethnics, adults who have been institutionalized as children, families with more than two children, young people who are unemployed, college students, people suffering from occupational illnesses.

“People become vulnerable when they are not helped to integrate in the society, and the aim of this project is to provide equal chances to vulnerable persons. By participating to professional training classes, these people will have the opportunity to actively contribute to their own integration, and also to a common state of wellbeing, by respecting and promoting everybody’s rights,” declared Bogdan Maxim, Project Manager.
In addition to the educational component, the project aims to unfold an information and awareness campaign regarding the existence of stereotypes on the job market.
The project will unfold on a duration of 18 months, until December 2015, and has a total cost of Ron 10,646,754.00, of which Ron 10,114,416.30 is a non-refundable financial assistance.
