UTI Facility Management will implement an integrated baggage scanning system, compliant with the European regulations, with Iasi International Airport

UTI Facility Management has won the public tender procedure organized by Iasi International Airport for the implementation of a baggage scanning and automatic explosives detection system, manufactured by Smiths Detection.

The state-of-the-art system, named HI-SCAN 10080 XCT, ensures fast and efficient scanning, using a dual – energy X-ray line scanner that provides the highest resolution images possible in order to optimize the detection performances.

The value of the contract awarded to UTI Facility Management is LEI 6.016.000 (VAT excluded).

By implementing this system, Iasi International Airport complies with the obligations imposed by the European regulations in the field of aviation security standards.

On its 33rd anniversary of continuous activity, UTI changes its name and becomes TIU Group of companies.
