UTI Systems launches ShellSAFE, a document securing application, at Expo Security
Between 7 and 11 May Romexpo organises the 6th specialised exhibition for security systems, Expo Security 2003. UTI Group is represented by its specialised companies UTI Systems and UTI Retail Solutions in Booth 19, Hall 18.
In the field of communications and data security, UTI systems exhibits the high performance technologies intended for information security as well as IT and communications integrated solutions. Based on its experience shown in large scale Romanian and international projects UTI Systems develops, supplies and implements dedicated software for data security and e-government, such as: CertSafe – Certification Authority and the e-filing application. The latest products developed by UTI Systems, through the IT&C division count as the most relevant the shellSafe – Desktop Suite – click Sign, sendSafe, diskSafe, shredSafe – that provide document encryption-decryption options, digital signing, e-mail integration for electronic mail securing, easy integration within the Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Explorer.
One of the most important projects involving the Information Technology and Communications Division of UTI Systems was the February 2003 bid for the execution contracts for the construction of 215 gyms, which went on via the public acquisition electronic system. 107 autonomous companies took part in the bid while the offer amount totalled more than EURO 36 million. This bid is a first in the public acquisition electronic system, considering its organisation (the participants could not only post the value of the offer on the site www.e-licitatie.ro but also to transmit the execution estimates) and the technological improvement, the bidders having the opportunity to send the execution estimates either in a sealed envelope or in electronic format, electronically signed and encrypted.
The estimates transmitted in electronic format were automatically stored on the servers of IGCTI (the Inspectorate General for IT and Communications), being automatically rejected after the hour of bid closing on www.e-licitatie.ro.
UTI Systems Inc. offered the technical solution for the electronic transmission and secure storage of the respective estimates, ensuring this way the authenticity, confidentiality, integrity and non-repudiation of the data IGCTI received.
