DEVA, Romania – Traffic management and video surveillance solution
UTI has designed and implemented a modern adaptive traffic management system for the municipality of Deva that is meant to reduce the time spent in traffic and at traffic lights, to ease the traffic and to help protect the environment by reducing pollution.
Solution
This solution is part of the larger smart city concept that fulfills the needs of towns to find solutions to improve the quality of life of their citizens while remaining economically competitive. UTI Grup gathers experience, the latest technologies, and equipment to offer municipalities the best tools to manage the daily challenges of a modern town: traffic and public transportation management, parking management, video surveillance, public information, underground communications, smart grid.
The video surveillance system implemented in Deva consists of 63 IP video cameras installed on the most important streets and close to important sites (schools, the areas where criminality is high), as well as of the fiber optic communication network.
The final purpose of the system is to increase the quality of life of the citizens in Deva.
